925AB supercedes the 995AA.

This was quite a wild goose chase. Mopar does not list this fluid for that year/model/transmission. At least nowhere online. However, being that it's originally a ZF design, I chased it down via the Allpar sister website, the Jeep Renegade forum (link to thread below), and it does appear that they're using the 925AB in both the 8 and 9-spd transmissions.

RockAuto sells the Pentosin brand (#1058110) in liter and 5 liter bottles, to quench your assembly's thirst.

Like giving Pepto Bismol to your transmission??? Engineers probably have some concern that microscopic antiwear additives tend to precipitate out after a long period of unuse.

I can see it now. Transmission warranty claims denied becaue the owner did NOT SHAKE THE BOTTLE before adding transmission fluid.

Thaks guys for the due diligence on the information!
What if - hear me out, ladies and gents - a new vehicle with said Pepto Bismol sat on the dealer lot for months, and the anti-wear additives fell out. Could that explain premature failure in some of those vehicles?
