For what the Pentastar is, it's producing a good amount of power. Figure, 305 on port injection, GM's highest output with the port injected 3.6 was 275 in the dual exhaust Lambda's. Then, GM upgraded to di and got a high of 312 in the Camaro. A recent redesign within the last year saw the figures move to a high of 335 in the Camaro. Technically, that 305 the Pentastar is producing (without DI) is pretty significant.
