Did you want a plug-in hybrid-electric Chrysler Pacifica this year? There will likely be a wait, with production pushed back slightly, to the fourth quarter of 2016.


The company’s first home-grown retail-sale hybrid, and the second in its history (after the Durango/Aspen which came from a GM-BMW-DCX partnership), will likely be closely scrutinized by critics and quality mavens alike.

They will also be the basis for one hundred minivans produced for Google as test autonomous-driving cars .

News of the delay came out at an FCA presentation in Windsor, Ontario on Friday.
