JUST RIPPED MY PLASTIC PS PUMP PULLEY INTO SHREDS/PIECES WITH MY 3 JAW PULLER!!

GOLLY GEE IT LOOKED LIKE A ALLOY PULLEY TO ME. MY INNOCENCE IS SHATTERED. :(

I DID NOT SEE ANY PARTS SUPPLIERS W PULLEYS ATTACHED WHEN I PURCHASED MY NEW ONE SO YOU MAY BE IN THE SAME FIX AT SOME POINT.

WELLS, KIDS IT SEEMS THERE IS A "SPECIAL TOOL" KIT FOR THIS PLASTIC PULLEY THAT WILL BOTH PULL AND REPLACE IT-(SO SAYS THAT UTUBE MECHANIC.)

THE "CRUISER" ADVENTURES ROLL ON!!

The inside of the pump shaft is threaded. I have used a well-oiled bolt and washer to draw the pulley on straight.
I have seen plastic pulleys shatter on a running engine. Scary. Many automakers went to plastic pulleys, it isn't just Chrysler.

BTW I DECIDED TO FLUSH THE RESEVIOUR WHILE I WAS WAITING FOR A NEW PULLEY. VERY GLAD I DID.
THE CONTAINER IS HELD ON WITH 2 EA 13MM BOLTS.
I STUFFED 3-4 RAGS INTO THE ADD HOLE AND CONSTANTLY GOT SLIME OFF OF THE BOTTOM OF THE CONTAINER.
SUGGEST TO ANYONE REPLACING THE PUMP OR THE RACK TO LOOK INTO THIS.
I'VE ALSO RAN INTO SUGGESTIONS TO ADD A FILTER IN THIS SYSTEM, HAS ANYONE TRIED THIS?

There is a screen filter inside the reservoir. I have replaced reservoirs that were making hydraulic whine or moan noises.
