I'm thinking about a new project. I like the 71-72 Satellites but the 73-74s seem to be priced better. I think its because people don't like the nose as much. Can that be swapped out? Do you have to get a new hood and fenders too or is it the grill and headlight assembly?

Thanks
Jason

I can't help you with the body swap specifics, but another big change that happened in 1973 was under the skin. To make the cars more refined, the front subframe was now mounted with rubber isolators and the rear leaf springs also had rubber isolation mounting as well. You can do away with the rubber isolation mounts if they become an issue but it's one more item you may want to add to the list.

Fenders and grill as well as bumpers are different. I think even the fender mounting bolts for the inner fender are moved somewhat. The 73 and 74 years are the low end of the second generation RoadRunners. Lots more electronics involved under the dash as well. Buzzers galore on those as I remember.
