Only Texans can buy the Lone Star, and only Canadians can buy the Ram 1500 Sport — the most popular Ram pickup trim in the great white North.

The Ram 1500 Sport has a monochromatic look in each of its nine colors, with a black billet bar grille, big RAM grille letters, and integrated dual exhaust. LEDs are used for the headlamps, DRLs, and fogs. The truck has a blackout look on the headlamp bezels, hood and tailgate Ram badging, and side-window surrounds, and buyers can get a “more aggressive” hood.

Ram Sport for Canada

Standard wheels are black 20-inchers, with optional 22-inch “black noise” alloys, never before available on 4x4s.

The standard engine is the 395-horse Hemi V8, sans mild-hybrid setup, coupled to a new-generation TorqueFlight Eight with over 40 shift maps. The 4x4 includes a low gear. The Sport is sold in both cab forms, but the only interior color is black; the center stack look comes from the Rebel.

Only Canadians get the power heated sport cloth/premium vinyl seats with a “hex” insert mesh fabric; the optional leather heated-and-ventilated seats have an embossed texture reserved only for Canada.

The 2019 Ram 1500 Sport goes on sale in the second quarter of 2018.
