That announcement may give us a clue as to why Diaz quit...

The new official language for the Ram brand will be Italian.

Sam Elliott will be doing Ram commercials in Italian with English sub-titles. They've decided that what we thought was going to be called ProMaster City, will actually be launched as the ProMaster Sergio ...

Perhaps the refreshed Promaster based off the updated Ducato will arrive?
 Wishful thinking.

How about a promaster city truck? But with the new face.

Or better yet, for lower floor loading, offer it with wheel tubs like the van and bring back the A100 look.
Plus a Promaster version. Sell it as lowest floor loading truck with 22" like the van.

Bring back the A series type truck and sell it as lowest floor loading truck bed.

That is so cool. For those who work out of different loading platforms. Or for loading cargo in planes.

No back window. That is a must.

I think I'd raise the side and tail doors at least to match the light assy.

This, although I'd like to see a Hellcat Ram1500, I'd rather see a 392 LRET, 1500, as it would be something I would be able to afford. Love to see the Iveco's come over here.

As for names? Why not keep the two divisions largely as is (organizationally), but change teh name from Ram, to "Dodge Trucks"?

I fully understand why the Name was changed at the time, other will telling different stories but I had several people close to the situation at the time. The reason is gone gone gone. The need to have it a separate division has come and gone. So sure it could be DODGE Ram. But what is the motivation at this point? Some complaining forum posts? Sales look like the slope of Everest.... not one penny is worth stepping on the mojo at this point.

Sidebar:
Coming back from The Smokys this past Sunday a Promaster passed me. The right outside mirror (the glass part) was shaking so bad there is no way the driver could see out of it. And the rear Promaster emblem was on so crooked it looked like they tossed it on from 5 feet away.
Nitpicky ?
Yep.....but it's those little things like that is what turns people off.....the 'perception' of lack of quality.
Just sayin.

I am hoping for mention of the updated Promaster headlights, sales of the PM were mentioned to be awful, so hopefully they will make the adjustment.
I don't know if the sales are awful, certainly low, about 1500 a month, or about the same as 500 was at that point in it's introduction.
Considering the stealth introduction, the lack of TV mention and the perception of Fiat "quality", maybe a Dodge ProMaster would sell better?

You mean "RAM Promaster" right?

Minivans don't fit with this month's "Dodge image"

TripleT hit the nail on the head. At this point there will need to be some definitive reason to scrap the RAM brand name and go back to Dodge Trucks. Just the signage and literature alone adds up to some big bucks. Lets face it, no one really bought into the whole RAM name anyway. Dodge was, Dodge is, Dodge forever shall be...

I made the Ram to Dodge Truck comment tongue in cheek, but it certainly seems to elicit strong opinions.

As for the cost of branding, I remember insiders, management, all had a dozen excuses as to why Plymouth was killed as a brand and would be too expensive to bring back, for all the reasons noted, signage, organization, overhead, etc., etc.
Then in the span of 30 days, Marchionne created Ram, SRT and Mopar as "brands" and not a peep was heard about the costs, organization, etc., etc.
Seems to me, any excuse can be made to go in any direction and the rest is just bloviating.
