A Fury with a 318?
That engine bay must've had some wide, open spaces.
Well, then again, some C-Bodies did come with 360's too if I remember right, so maybe it wasn't that bad.

 

And some C bodies had a slant 6.

 

Dad bought one new, you could literally sit in the engine compartment. Also that car was real steel, a Chevy truck side swiped him and he had a small crease, the truck looked like it was drug down the guard rail and the back bumper was ripped off its mounts. The bumper caught the door seam and ripped off the truck.
The main problem was the torsion box up front rusted out. I have found a few and all had the same problem.

My parents had a '72 Fury III coupe with a 318.

 

Lots of people bought C bodies. Hardly anyone bought the Fury S23.
