Rear shocks for 2006 DGC SXT, looking for a cheap source

The VIN number is:
2D4GP44L46R835607

I am looking for the part number of the rear shock absorbers or a source I can buy the OEM or replacement equivalent.

I believe these are the Nivomat rear shock absorbers and are self-levelling, the dealer he in my town wants $640 each.

BTW, I am in Toronto and new to this forum, this is my first post.

The part number for the rear shocks is 4743230AA. The list price is $474.00 US. Sorry but these are Hazmat and we can't ship them. I hope this helps you in your quest.

Thanks for the quick reply Steven, I have a friend driving to Florida, maybe I will ask them to bring back a set for me.

Any replacement available?

Chopper, shop around. The list price stevenspeaking quoted is the MSRP. I've already found two other source listing them for lower - $342 and $355, but both are US sources.

The shock absorber you need is commonly known as the Nivomats (self-leveling shocks) and are very pricey. Unfortunately, you cannot substitute a normal shock.

I'm assuming they cannot be shipped out of the country as I ordered a pair ($200/shock at the time) and they were shipped to my home in VA from GA. But that was several years ago back around 2005-2006. At the time the list price was $419 each at the dealer. I managed to get them for half that plus shipping.

Found these on ebay, they look like replacement equivalents. Are these any good, anyone here used these before and what was your experience?

Thanks Doug for the info, I do come down to the USA about twice a year. I have family and a house in Orlando Florida so there is a possibility I may drive down and install them there. But I can't wait to have them changed the handling is terrible with the back bouncing like a yo-yo. I'll look around the web and see if I can get a good deal.

I hear ya on the bouncing. When the Nivomats went bad on my previous minivan (2000 T&C Ltd), it bounced all over the place. Once shock had lost all of it's oil and the other was leaking. Once I had the new ones installed the ride was superb. Yes, they are expensive, but the Nivomats work well. Even when we loaded up our van you couldn't tell it was heavily loaded from the outside after we had driven a few miles down the road.

Thanks, I will get them. I believe they are they right ones, I did alot of research and they look just like the ones on my Van. The dimensions look spot on.

Hey guys, happy to report I got the shocks from Amazon Paid $225 for one and found an identical one on ebay for $175. They are both identical to the OEMs I took of the Van.

Installation was a breeze, I had to use two jacks one on the Axel t remove the rear wheels and another on the Chassis/frame to raise the chassis to adjust for the shock installation.

Took 15min a piece. The old ones where leaking and soft, I could pull it apart no problem.
