The rear leaf springs on my 1969 Charger which I bought new are no longer bowed up but are in a level position. I really don't want to replace the springs. Will a new set of shocks all around help with the springs?
The shocks on the car are probably 40 or more years old. This is a 383 Magnum four speed car. Any recommendations are appreciated.

Probably best to replace them all. Shocks are not going to lift up relaxed springs.

There are companies that can recurve them, but it rarely lasts.

If you're concerned about originality then just keep the old ones when you replace them. They can always be swapped back by someone picky.
