Has any one ever replaced the clutches in a sure grip? If so is it difficult? Are there special tools needed.
THe person that I bought it from said he removed the two curved clutches and replaced them with strait ones because the back end was chattering around corners. Does that make sense to anyone?
He gave me the two curved one to reinstall if I wanted, But if I'm going that deep I think I'll just replace all the clutches with new ones. Any information would be helpful.

741 is what is stamped on the center and I was told that it came out of a 1970 duster. So it should have been an A-body 8 3/4, after measureing it turned out to be a B-body.
If the two clutches that I am referring to are laid onto a flat surface, the out edge is slightly rased. I was going to just install the center section and hope for the best, but after reading and talking to Dr Diff I think I'll replace the clutches.
