Sad indeed, but I guess it was necessary. Population from a high of 1.85 million to about 700,000 can't do much for improving a revenue stream to maintain a city of that size. Too bad it got to the point the mayors (any of them), couldn't get businesses to return, thus bringing the people and revenues to sustain Detroit where she was in the past. I wish all those remaining the best.

Also, it is too bad that officials can't get elected if they say times will be tough and we need to stop spending for extras. Could have kept taxes low enough to keep the businesses from leaving.
