Vans are classified as trucks. Chrysler needed to up MPG of the truck class plus the PT cruiser didn't have good enough fuel mileage to meet the classification of car. Have a 4cyl to off set the V8's.GottaPT said:My PT was listed as a car. State farm says it's a van. An ad for a local dealership says WAGON. What kind of vehicle is it?
They got away from that for aerodynamic reasons, maybe some other ones I don't know about but cost may have been a factor, most likely you'll have to keep your PT for life.iriegnome said:BTW - I will keep my PT until they come out with another vehicle that has door handles just like the PT.. Back in 1969 they moved away from the Handles and more into the flush mount pulls to open doors and I can't stand them.. Give me a handle.
