A few weeks ago I noticed a vibration through the steering wheel and also slightly vibrates the dash board. Also this morning when I took daughter to mother in law's, she said her seat was vibrating. What in the world is causing this? My Daytona is a 1988 standard 2.5L engine. Can you all give me an idea of what this could be? The car is going into the shop this week for inspection looks like I will have to have them find out what it is. I hope it's not expensive, budget is tight. I hope it's safe to drive as I have nothing else to drive at this point in my life.

Firs thing I'd have checked is the tire balance. One of the tires may have lost a weight or has simply worn or has become out of balance. Depending on the severity of the vibration it could also be a tire developing a "knot" and/or the beginning of tread seperation. It's rare, but it does happen. But have the tires rebalanced.
Thanks Doug. I think it is the one front tire as it is bad and that is going to get replaced this week asap. I just hope it isn't nothing more.

I hope the vibration if it is from the crappy tire, does not shake anything else apart.

I got the worn tire replaced. It did not correct the vibration. So I will have to have the other three tires checked for imbalance. Ugh.

Correct. I have never had the front end aligned on this car since I have owned it since 1988. My bad.

Will look into this further thank you all for the feedback! I would be lost without all you!

Update - found out what the problem was (the faster you drove the worse the vibration). I took it into my local tire shop and the owner checked all my tires inside and out. The back tire on the driver's side was bulging on the inside getting ready to blow. Glad I took it in. New tire now, no vibrations!
