Oh, right, Opels are now “ours,” too.
Peugeot: how the !@#&^!&^ do you spell it? (Mitsubishi Syndrome)As much as I don't think rebadging a European car will be a home run, of I had to pick a division to share a model with either Chrysler or Dodge, Opel would be a more logical choice than Alfa Romero or Fiat.
Yeah, pretty much FIAT's reputation is unsalvable.Peugeot: how the !@#&^!&^ do you spell it? (Mitsubishi Syndrome)
Citroën: how the [email protected]#(&*!^! do you make that umlaut thing?
Opel: I can spell and type that!
Yes, I agree. Or Vauxhall if you want a new brand
PS> Why not Fiat? Because we all know what it stands for![]()
Opel is a common name, and its used a many Female names here.Yeah, pretty much FIAT's reputation is unsalvable.
People can spell Opel but I worry they can't pronounce it. Though at least they wont' look like Buicks anymore 🤣
Vauxhall, they can't say or spell. Americans can't pronounce an X as anything other than "ex."![]()
In the US some people don't know it's supposed to be pronounced "Opal"Opel is a common name, and its used a many Female names here.
Just like they don't know Porsche is supposed to be pronounced like the girl's name Portia. In the US some people don't know it's supposed to be pronounced "Opal"
At least Mitsubishi is phonetic. It should be Pu'zhou and Si'tro'en.Peugeot: how the !@#&^!&^ do you spell it? (Mitsubishi Syndrome)

It's Vaux like fox. Everybody recognizes x as ks. "Named after a medieval manor, "Fox Hall"". Americans can probably prounounce it better than the British.Yeah, pretty much FIAT's reputation is unsalvable.

STLA Small is 2026 thing at best... Still long way to it.So it gets the STLA Small hybrid system from the Avenger and the 156 HP electric motor from the Avenger instead of last year's 136 HP motor.
Next stops for STLA small 4xe, then a 1.6T and the US market.
Yep, just take the platform underneath, swap out the 1.2T 3 cylinder for a 1.6T 4 cylinder, and give it some 177.1" (4499 mm) x 69.5" (1,765 mm) x 54.1" (1375 mm) American looking sheet metal in 3/4/5 door form and it would make a great Dodge Shadow/Neon. As is it is just a little too short to be an Omni.It could be a nice Dodge neon...
"Opal", that sounds close to "Opala", a Chevrolet model once sold in Brazil derived from the Opel Rekord. Corsa was once used also by Chevrolet in Argentina and Brazil but since Chevrolet was "divorced" from Opel, the Corsa was replaced by the Onix.In the US some people don't know it's supposed to be pronounced "Opal"
