Tell me... If a vast majority of your mileage is on open roads or maybe even more on motorways which type of engine would you choose and why.

The vast majority of my mileage is on open roads and interstates, I own two gasoline hybrid cars.

We don't want your filthy Diesel passenger cars here. If the fake environmentalists in Europe were real they wouldn't have pushed Diesels, subsidized them with lower fuel taxes, and protected them with a 10% tariff.

 
Hybrids are good if you do some city, on major roads at constant speed it's useless.

With my clean diesel (i have an SCR) i do 4l per 100km, even the best hybrids can't reach that.
Diesel 100% of the time, on open roads and motorways it's the best solution
Hybrids are good if the cars does a lot of stop&go
There is no such thing as clean Diesel, they are all filthy. Diesel is never the right answer for a light vehicle.
