Yeah, but it wouldn't take a multi billion dollar investment for just those. This sounds like something bigger.

If you need to setup battery manufacturing plus retool the entire plant....yes, it would be billions.

"Polo" at stellpower suggested the PSA Partner van might replace the ProMaster City. If they made that at Saltillo - or even if they did the planned ProMaster BEV using the current platform...

It would make more sense to bring the PSA vans because they are already setup for PHEV, BEV and Hydrogen.

Would love that—it brings unparalleled flexibility that they didn’t have with the Promaster City. How about a dropside version for the US market, eh!?

I would say we'll have to see what they plan on investing money wise and the product or products. If it's just for vans, then no, the HD will stay put. Just my opinion.

Most likely, they are working on the next generation vans and that is what will go into Mexico. This will harmonize Fiat and PSA vans globally on shared platforms with even easier ability to switch from ICE to PHEV or to BEV or Hydrogen Fuel Cell.
Ram will be getting a hydrogen fuel cell pickup (probably 3500 or higher)

The Partner/Berlingo/Combo vans are really good FWIW. A big improvement over the current Promaster City/Doblo. The passenger versions (Rifter/Combo Life) have also had good reviews and are pretty refined for being based on commercial vans.
Stellantis might do well by bringing it in both variants and naming the passenger version Caravan, with the goodwill the nameplate has. Plus the only real competition it'd have would be the ancient Transit Connect.
