FCA dealers in Mexico will be getting several hundred units of FCA's limited edition 2018 Sterling 25th Anniversary Jeep Grand Cherokee, the company said Tuesday.

Already on sale in the U.S. and Canada without much fanfare, the 2018 commemorative edition features a choice of two engines (although not in Mexico) and a range of distinguishing upgrades and touches inside and out not seen on the rest of the lineup.

The extra features on the Sterling edition include a sunroof and roof rack, black grille with platinum accents, body color fender flares and claddings, 20-inch Heritage aluminum wheels, leather wrapped center armrest and instrument panel, and a 506-watt amplifier.

According to a company release put out today , the Sterling 25th special edition borrows elements from the top-of-the-line Summit elite Platinum, although it is based on the Limited 4X2.

The Sterling 25th is available in Mexico only with the 3.6-litre Pentastar V6, linked to an 8-speed automatic transmission. In the U.S. and Canada the Sterling 25th is available with both the V6 and the 5.7-liter Hemi V8.

Only 300 units will be shipped to Mexico and they will be available for $ 869,000 pesos. In the U.S., some dealers are offering the limited edition at MSRPs in the low $40s (before discounts), while in Canada the comparable list prices are in the low to high $50s.
