Hello members my name is Brian and I have a question about factory spark plug wire routing on a 1974 dodge charger with a 400 C I D. My question is, does anybody know the stock spark plug routing pattern on a 400 CID engine. I am just purchase what was advertised as an original set of spark plug wires to fit 74 to 78 400 or 440 big block engine. The set included two wires with 30° angle boots and six wires with 90° boots. I believe the longest 30° boot belongs on the number eight cylinder but I am not sure where the other 30° boot belongs. I am trying to route the wires through the stock brackets. If anybody has reference material or personal experience with this application I could really use your help. Thanks

In those years, there was sort of a metal hood above the #7 boot (why it was there, someone else will have to explain). If your engine also has one above the #8 boot, then I'd put the 30-degree angle boots on the #7 and #8 plugs.
