Because that might make the profits appear to be less grotesque. A company that delivers great quality and customer service deserves great profits.

But we know the truth.....Sergio had no clue how to create a sustainable business. He only knew how to milk short-term gains until the next merger. He did that starting with Fiat in 2005.
