Owner: Mark Koskenmaki • Mileage: 500,000 Miles • Added: 2010-03-10 • Modified: 2017-10-12

Major Repairs: Engine rebuilt - twice I know of, trans rebuilt (by me), every hose, bearing, u-joint, belt, wear item I can think of has been done by me or previous owners.

Comments: This truck sat in a field for 19 years. It had trees grown into the fenderwells and had to be drug over them, smashing them down to get it to move. Required a farm tractor and many pulls. Original owner bought it with just a few miles on it from a dealer near where I live, and drove it, according to someone who is family to the owner, to about 425K miles, with one engine rebuild. That owner abused it and so did the next two. One of them was a logger and fell a tree across the box. He then sold it to the last owner before me, who drove it until the brakes failed and then parked it. It sat for 19 years, until I found it and rebuilt the engine (pistons corroded and stuck to cylinder walls from age on the cylinders with a valve open) and replaced every hose, belt, seal, the ujoints, brakes, carb, fuel pump, alt, everything but the starter - which works fine. It still has standard bearings and would have gotten away with standard bore, but could find no standard size pistons at the time. The door strikers and latches have all but worn completely away. Many other signs of extreme milage, including cracks in the cab around the doors. It now has MSD ignition, and will soon have Megasquirt EFI and timing and I may make it a 4 inch stroker ( about 390 CID) poly 318. Working on an air bag suspension idea and restoring the body completely and making a soundproofed, modern interior including digital gauges.

2004 Dodge Neon (2.0 H.O & 5 speed MTX)

Tire Wheel Vehicle Alloy wheel Land vehicle

Owner: Georg S • Mileage: 310,000 Miles • Added: 2013-01-16 • Modified: 2017-10-09

Major Repairs: None

Comments: Between 2 and 300K + miles the only unscheduled replacement items were a cam sensor, a rear wheel bearing and 2 wheel speed sensors. These are the only parts other than normal wear items the car has ever needed.

1999 Dodge Dakota Club Cab SLT 4x4 (5.2l Magnum V8 , 44RE Transmission, )

Owner: Ethan Gilbert • Mileage: 255,541 Miles • Added: 2016-12-16 • Modified: 2017-10-09

Major Repairs: Recently trying to repair the infamous P0505 code, did the intake manifold gasket, new head gaskets, fixed slight cracks in heads, new TPS, new IAC, new PCM(solved it!) runs great! I run full synthetic oil in it, and change it with Mopar filter.

Comments: A very stout, but comfortable pick-up. I bought it 18 months ago, put 43,000 miles on it already. Moves quick, pulls anything I ask, commutes great, and probably one of the best four-wheel-drives I’ve had. I owned only full size Fords before, but this is as good as a full size. I was a die-hard Ford man, and this truck has helped changed that! Just keeps running! I love my Dakota!

Chrysler's own High Milers club

If you travel 100,000 miles inside a Chrysler vehicle, the company may reward you with a special license plate frame and letter of appreciation. When we last saw them, the frames were made of a heavy metal; there were different ones for people with higher mileage, e.g. the 200,000 mile club and on up. See Chrysler's own instructions!
