The “CAP LOCAL” program, which reaches out to schools across the United States, launched in July 2015. Schools are certified by the National Coalition of Certification Centers (NC3). The original CAP program started in 1984, and currently includes 31 colleges in major markets. CAP LOCAL is designed to reach secondary and rural markets.

When graduating from the roughly two-year program, techs are certified to work at Level 1, and can also earn an associate’s degree.
