When my wife pulled into the rest stop, the car died as it was coming to a stop. She restarted the engine and shifted into Reverse and the car worked just fine, but each time she put the transmission into Drive, the engine would stall. The car is a 2007 Chrysler Pacifica, Touring, 4.0 engine with 180,000 miles on it. It has been a great car up to now.
Additional information: I backed the car up a hill with a considerable downhill grade and shifted into neutral. After the car was coasting forward, I could put the car into Drive and continue driving; however when I came to a stop, the engine would begin to load up and then die. Reverse works just fine.
A friend connected his scan tool to the computer and had one code from the transmission. The code is not in the shop manual. The code was a 2763.
Any help is appreciated!

Had the trans oil changed lately?
This exact thing happened to me....when coming to a stop the trans acts like a stick shift when you dont push in the clutch.
I had the oil changed at Joe's joint and sure enough......the guy put in the wrong oil.
Thanks to the ALLPAR forums I knew about this and took it to a Xsler dealer like I should have in the first place.
After putting in the correct oil I never had any more problems.
