Can anyone tell me how to get the part that the key goes in off my trunk and onto a new trunk? I was able to take the big mechanism off with two 10 mm bolts. But the little round part that the key goes into didnt come off with it. It stayed on the old trunk. And the new trunk had that part of it beaten off with a hammer and a punch. So I really need to get the old one off the old trunk and onto the newer trunk. What a bind I'm in now. Thanks!

Look for a horse shoe type clip on the back side of that lock. I don't know for sure if yours has one or not, but some of the ones I've pulled in past years had them. If not, I can't offer any help. Sorry.

It's either a horseshoe clip or a large nut.
