First gen Daytonas and Plymouth Lasers were the same car. 1984? to 1986
after they stopped making them Chrysler recycled the name to another car.

First gen cars were the Dodge Daytonas, and Chrysler Lasers 84-86. In 1990 "Laser" came back as the Plymouth Laser, part of the Diamond Star cars, Laser, Eclipse, and Talon.
