Hei - today is the day for valvecover bolt on.

While cleaning i departed the small curtain inside cover ( 20 cm mounted with two bolts,-remember this is an 86)

I then noticed this thing was sealed with some kind of silicon. Now all silicon is removed, but i really dont want to put new seal on. I fear it will loosen and mix in oil.

Do i need this sealant? would a leak cause oil to flow throu tube and further on?

I know this is hard to tell but maybe someone has met the same problem........ :working:

If this is the small curtain under the oil fill hole, it should not have a sealant. It just bolts on. There is no reason to seal anything there.

OK, I'm not familiar with that.

You must seal it according to these instructions:

Failure to do so may result in lots of oil in your airbox.
