Driving a 20 mile trip i really got bothered about vibration inside car(consols and dashbourd) reaching 2200 rpm. It almost drived me crazy.

I made all my exaust myself and strapped it up in different ways- do you think i have strapped rubber fasteners to hard?

Motor Mounts seemed ok last time i worked on them.

Ideas?

Rotate the tires first and see if it changes. If not, you need to check both your inner and outer cv joints.

Outer cv joints are new- inner are not changed.

Wheels-well, looks great and have been balanced not very long time ago.

This is really interessting Bob. Ive always thought of centering as the engines posision in the engine-room, not as an axle issue..

i need to learn this,

I swapped a manual transmission with both axles from an 87-Le Baron to my 86,-that may be wrong then?

I only did a visual comparement and stated that they where interchangeable.

You can either measure the axles as indicated in the article, or remove the axle nuts and press in, make sure the distance is the same on both sides, to within 1/8" inch.

I found the reason for vibration-

i had installed pass side bushing upside down, Its unbealivable how different the car runs now.

I had also forgot the small weight on transm. side mount( i dont know how much that would cause vibration)
