We are around six months away from the debut of the next Ram 1500 pickup truck, coded “DT.”  Allpar sources told us that many new features and items are being added to the Ram, to keep it at the front of the class.  Today, we can list a few of the hot-ticket items.

The next Ram is expected to have aimable bi-function LED projector headlights as an option, leapfrogging HIDs. Other updated technology options, already used by other FCA US cars, include:
  • LED fog lamps
  • Adaptive cruise control
  • Full speed collision warning
  • Blind spot and cross path detection
  • Parallel and perpendicular park assist
  • ParkSense, front and rear, with stop assist
  • LED tail lights

But that’s not all; Allpar can confirm long-standing rumors that the next Ram will have an option for a mild-hybrid model, using a 48 volt belt-starter-generator (BSG) on selected Hemi trucks.

This isn’t the end; we’ll be back in two weeks with another update.
