The dealer is about 20 miles away from me in Pensacola. Haven't been over there in weeks so I don't know about ones on the street. Only see 3 where I live.Mopar392 said:It depends.. Which area are you from? Do you see alot of Darts around you?
Your local dealer might be stocking to avoid the delay and therefore the lack of the next model year..
Strat usually has that information. I know Chrysler was running at 62 days overall in August, but I cannot find the specific model inventories.Mopar392 said:Would someone in knowledge know how many days of supply Dart has in comparison to the other cars in the segments..
It is worse than June number, http://www.allpar.com/news/index.php/2013/06/darts-on-lots-inventory, of 94 days of supply.Stratuscaster said:Days supply as of 9/1/13 (not all automakers report per vehicle numbers):

Verano: 61

Lancer: 75
I don't know if Chrysler, post-Daimler, still does this, but a few years ago you would get a call from your zone rep, and he'd ask "Hey do you want an extra 10-15 units of (insert hot selling model here)?" The obvious answer was yes, and then he'd tell you, "No problem, I can do that for you if you'll take five green base model V6 Commanders" (or some other slow-moving dog).Dave said:Would not surprise me if they had "secret incentives" to the dealers to make deals and clear them out.
My guess...
1) Dart comes out in limited forms
2) Dealers and public complain, “If we had all the versions including automatics and GTs and Limiteds and 2.0 base, we could buy/sell them!”
3) Oops, they couldn't.
I see 2 every day. Although, in fairness one of them I pass every single day. On the way into work, and the way back. About the same spot every day, during my 40 minute commute. Country roads though, traffic is extremely predictable. Kind of makes me chuckle that we have each other's schedules so close.FreeLantz said:I don't know if Chrysler, post-Daimler, still does this, but a few years ago you would get a call from your zone rep, and he'd ask "Hey do you want an extra 10-15 units of (insert hot selling model here)?" To get extra Viper allocations - because we were the number one Viper dealer in the state at the time - my dealership took all kinds of strange things. One example I've mentioned on here before, was ten Flame Red 4.7-liter Ram 1500 Quad Cab long beds with no power locks or windows, and all of them with tow mirrors but no tow package.
So that might explain the heavy Dart inventories in some places. Or not. They actually sell pretty well around here. Almost daily I see at least one or two on the freeway.
I gotcha.... I was estimating that every day I see at least one or two, and not always the same ones. I think they sell pretty well locally.bumonbox said:I see 2 every day.
