A buddy of mine's '02 PT's starter has gone out. I have a 2.4 engine and transmission with starter attached sitting in my workshop, will the starter interchange? Autozone's site does not say yes, but I know that not saying yes isn't necessarily the same as no...

I check a few other websites and different part #'s are used for both applications.
I don't know what is different (terminals?), but usually the aftermarket likes to consolidate part #'s whenever they can.
It may 'fit', but I can't say that it will work.

I did some further looking and it appears that there's a snout casting that isn't present on one of them. Darn. Oh well.

I have an '03 Neon service manual, said buddy is also changing motor mounts and it looks like the same part fits both Neon and PT, I assume that the directions, especially for torque, will be pretty good on the PT even if from the Neon book...
