It does, it's the viper. Its engine is within the front and rear axles, making it a mid-engine car.

If you mean a mid engine aft of the driver seat...I don't see it. The only brand that could pull something like that and actually be able to sell it is possibly SRT, but that would steal the thunder from the Viper. Unless of course they did something

I would be very surprised if one came from the Mopar side of the house. There is the Alfa Romeo 4C, though, and it is a beauty. Maybe with all of this platform sharing, Sergio will let Ralph and Co. go crazy with it.

MoparNorm did say that his trusted sources say an SRT6 is in the works. Stranger shif has happened.

The industry uses these monikers to make the distinction.
FMR: Front Mid-mounted engine,in front of the driver (but still between the axles), and RWD.
RMR: Rear Mid-mounted engine, behind the driver (but still between the axles),and RWD
FM4: Front Mid-mounted engine, in front of the driver (but still between the axles), and AWD.
M4: Rear Mid-mounted engine, behind the driver (but still between the axles),and AWD

MF: Front Mid-mounted engine, in front of the driver (but still between the axles), and FWD.
FF: Front-mounted engine, in front of the driver (engine mass is on or in front of the axle),and FWD
FR: Front-mounted engine, in front of the driver (engine mass is on or in front of the axle),and RWD
I suppose there is one for 911's, RR, and R4, and F4 for things like Audis and Subies, trucks, CUV's, etc.
Don't ask me what semi's and 6x6 dump trucks are. I suppose tanks would be RMT, LOL.

The Viper is FMR. The Alfa Romeo 4C is RMR.

( There is a poodle fight about whether it is the ENTIRE engine that dictates placement designation, or the center of mass of the engine. The people who say the entire engine has to be between the axles to be mid engine, front or rear, are right. The center of engine mass crowd is wrong, you hear me, wrong.)

I would like to know if Mopar will have a mid-engine sportcar in the near future?
Were you looking for something akin to the Chrysler ME 4-12?
