I can see why they did twin turbos, to reduce lag—not needed on the drag strip! where you control lag by revving up before launch. (Carroll Shelby laughed at people complaining of lag in the old T3 but believe me, as an owner, life is more than drag strips.)

Like the Hellcat, really - easy to adjust and trade off "streetability" and durability with sheer power.

The T3 could be tuned for more power too... I assume; but it was pretty much at the edge of 2.2 durability.

I'd hope these contests would show the block is strong enough for 550 hp in a truck...! As long as the cooling system can keep up. Traditionally Chrysler was very conservative with tow ratings but today, who knows?
