If the throttle body light is on, I guarantee there are stored codes. How did you check for them?

Not sure what "idles hard" means. Can you describe that better? And no brakes?

Throttle body icon illuminated indicates there is a problem in the electronic throttle body control system. The PCM ( powertrain control module ) cannot control throtte position or is having difficulty determining the throttle valve position. This affects the ability of the PCM to set a precise air - fuel mixture. This is causing an erractic, poor idle and is reducing vacuum in the intake manifold and you have lack of assist with the vacuum brake booster so it appears you have lost braking performance. These are all conditions that I have experienced with failure of an electronic throttle body on a Chrysler designed vehicle.

Remove the decorative, plastic cover over the throttle body assembly. Remove the flexible intake tube at the inlet of the throttle body. Engage the assistance of a helper. Watch the throttle plate and have the helper turn the ignition key switch from the OFF position to ON. You should see the throttle valve partially open and then close.

Push inward on the upper hallf of the throttle plate. You should feel spring resistance and hear internal gears and motor armature turn. If no gear noise the gear teeth for the throttle shaft drive have stripped.

It is possible that the PCM can momentairly open and close the throttle valve but there still is a system failure. In that instance the throttle position feed back circut or throttle position sensor inside the throttle body has failed.
These are some easly tests that you can perform. See attached image.

I'm guessing that you have a large vacuum leak. Possibly the brake booster vacuum hose, that would explain the no brakes and it would turn your lightning bolt on as well and idle very high.
