1984 Dodge Rampage carb to fuel injection swap

I drive a 1984 5 speed Rampage as my daily driver. It has over 200,000 miles and is still in good shape but the carburator is driving me crazy. Vapor lock is getting horrible. I had to install a additional electric fuel pump at the fuel tank so not to be stranded. I am wanting to buy a donor car to get all of the single point EFI parts to do a complete change over. Which means the electronics. Has anyone heard of someone doing this? I know the last year or so of the L & Z body's finally got the single point EFI. But I don't know if anything was made special for the L & Z body to make it fit. Now I found a Acclaim with a rod knocking but still runs but with the 2.5 engine. Can I buy a engine computer for a 2.2 which is the displacement of my engine and will that get the EFI work for my engine. Or is there additional problems?
Thanks,
John.

I converted my old carb 4-speed '84 Rampage to a T-1 5-speed, in part 'cus I was sick of fighting the carb issues and wanted fuel injection (and the turbo was a plus :) ). 'Till then I'd never had anything except RWD Mopar V-8s, so I was totally ignorant on FWD 4s, and I made a LOT of mistakes (and it was pre-internet)! I got a free '84 Daytona doner car (didn't know what an L body or G body was, figured there wasn't much difference....ummmm...wrong). Mechanically some parts weren't too bad (engine, trans, brakes/hubs/wheels, radiator). The gas tank/fuel system took some creative fabricating. But the worst was the wiring harness!! Mainly re-wiring the bulkhead connector to work with the Rampage under-dash harness. Fortunately I found the factory service manual sets for both cars, or I would have never got it running. Back then there were plenty of you-pull junk yards too. I ended up converting it to T-2 and an auto later. Ran great, got great mileage, was even fairly quick. Had some rust and was a bit of a beater (those cars weren't exactly built to last) but I loved it, 'till someone stole it (WTF?)
If you can, find a doner T-1 L body 'cus you'll need the 'puter and harness (T-1 was the draw through turbo w/ EFI). I think that might be the easiest way to get EFI. That was a long time ago, and I'm sure I'm forgetting a lot of stuff, but I seem to recall there was allot of issues with the computers, so finding a good used one wasn't easy. I also remember hating fusible links.
Have you considered a stand alone EFI (I don't know if they make them for a 2.2)
That probably wasn't much help.

No you are wrong it is help. True you made a total change under the hood. I am only wanting to remove the carburator and install a single point EFI. Not the engine and definitely not a turbo. And if I have to replace the intake manifold that would be ok. This is a lot simpler change so I don't think I will have quite as many bulkhead wiring changes and other changes. So I am feeling that the physical room is there. I just need to see if a 2.2 engine computer can replace the 2.5 computer and it will make the 2.2 run correctly.
Thank you,
John P.S. I have two Rampages, plus I (had) a Shelby Charger and it was the doner car the other Rampage. So I have a turbo 5 speed Rampage with all the ground effects and pizza 15 inch wheels.
