And now NASCAR allows RWD Scamry's with V-8 engines. To me that is the ultimate cheating scandal.

When Toyota got in they were given the same spec sheet we were given at Dodge and were told to build an engine for the series. All of the current Cup engines are "purpose built" race engines. On the Dodge engine there was only one production "LA" engine part used and that was the distributor hold down clamp. The only other spec that was common to the LA engines was the bore center dimension.
