I will say that not everyone cares as much as you do about ventilated seats and premium stereos, and add that it's not fair to judge a stereo you've never listened to.

who are you replying to?

Not me as I do not care about a stereo, AM/FM with a front center speaker is all I need ;)
no infotainment system either, just buttons and knobs for climate controls like my new truck

No, not you.

No, not you.
I am on the fence of giving up vented seats if I can test drive when it's time a light color interior in the summer. (As I use them a fair amount in the summer in my current Cherokee but it's an all black interior) Unless they made drastic changes (which I doubt) sense last generations 6 speaker base system, which I doubt. Sense it sounds like the premium system is the same alpine 9 speaker. I did not like the 6 speaker sound system, when I was buying my Cherokee, the all the Cherokees on my dealers lot had the base system so I listened to it, and decided I wanted the upgrade. And I love my Premium Alpine system. The a Stereo is something I absolutely will not compromise on. I like music and I listen to a lot of music in the car.

The cost of living is low today compared to real inflation in the 70s. Youngsters today have no clue.
Having lived many more years than discussed, high inflation is a lot worse to take during retirement years than working years. Hard to adjust the income when pensions and savings either don't adjust or at way less than inflation when your working hours can't be adjusted.

As someone who like you is on a pension thats very true. Fortunately, I also work part time and that helps a bunch.

Pension income is a loose term. Less than $500/mo. Pension is also very close to default. Default would cut that to less than half. I worked until 73 and now in the next decade, I don't have much to give after helping out the kids and grandkids, church and volunteering at our museum. I am almost as busy as when I went to work daily.

We do have real inflation now, but the figures are no longer trusted. Dropping interest rates will make the gap between pensioner income and expenses worse. When gold and commodities and the stock market all rise, it usually means the dollar is falling.

I really want to see the company successful, but I am just at the opinion of "Show me how this is not something that should have been a Chrysler instead of a Jeep."
I would love to see a robust Chrysler SUV. I really liked the Chrysler Aspen.
