Mike V.I expect a single shark fin multipurpose antenna on the roof like other FCA product ;)

MikeMy 1500 has the shark fin for satellite on the left rear of cab.

Yet all the 2500,3500 trucks have it mixed right in with the cab lights.
Doesn't look right.

Doesn't look right.I suspect it won’t move from its current location.

suzq044Excuse the really bad attempt at chrome on that cross-bar that goes "into" the headlight. The square next to it would be the RAM wordmark. Obviously, I don't have the vertical part in yet, but it'll get there. lol

.. but I'm getting somewhere. I'm unsure of whether to make that bit where the tow hooks are chrome, or leave it body-colored. I haven't touched the fender, or continued work on the door, just .. working my way over.again suzq044 you are the best and thank you it looks like a ram is in my future

haywajVery nice rendering. Any chance that they will hide the wipers a bit lower, and maybe incorporate an electrically heated wiper area on the windshield like Subaru does, for us northern consumers?Asking the wrong person on that.. no idea.

Car parts aren't fun to replace especially if it's something so vulnerable

Yes, but the next 1500 will follow suit with the same setup. I am told that was done for a specific reason on HD models. Because when the chassis cabs opt for an aftermarket box or utility outfit box that is taller than the cab it could effect the signal coming to the truck. Since all chassis cabs and HD models are built on the same line all the models got it to make production easier.

It's too bad they haven't figured out that they could put an antenna in the window similar to what the Viper had. It's the one thing that really takes away from all the cars I think in the FCA US lineup. Look at the Charger and Challenger with those big shark fin's on the back of them. I am glad on my 2014 I have the flat disc.

Just so the radio antenna isn't like the ProMaster City or Transit Connect.

They are mounted on the center line of the vehicle at the lead edge of the roof.

They are tall enough that use of a roof mounted equipment rack puts the antenna in danger of getting broken off by ladders, etc.

Happened to one of our work vans.

Racks are usually loaded from the rear, not being able to see the antenna you forget it is there.

At least taking the antenna off the fender gives ham radio operators two fenders to mount antennas on.

Very nice @DarkSky however according to one of my sources the next Ram DT pickup won't have Ram badging on the doors. It will be using event with badging on it similar to what the Ford Super Duty use. This will clean up the doors and we'll make the body lines look more uniform. And will also help the issue for contractors in that with the lettering.
