I was just reading tea leaves rather than figuring out what's logical. Logic would have had the Wagoneer S come out with a Chrysler badge, and the four-door Charger prioritized.

We have these pieces -
Ramcharger name removed from Ram serial hybrid, suggesting they want it for a Dodge SUV
Rumor that Wagoneer is being removed, leaving Grand Wagoneer only and presumably a price-car gap
Midsize pickup on the way

That's a bit of a leap isn't it? I wouldn't call that a strong signal.

Yes, it's a leap, someone else pointed it out but why else change the name to something less catchy? Other than incompetence, which is always an option for any corporate choice.

If the Wagoneer goes away, it'll most likely be replaced by a Ram model. Which is what should've happened in the first place. This would make the GW at 100k plus a truly unique model. A Ram version would sell better then many think.

Why Ram and not Dodge?

Because in their marketing, Ram is utility, Dodge is high performance only. Ramcharger as a reskinned Wagoneer wouldn't fit as a Dodge.
Good point. But Ram Ramcharger...

That would work... since they seem to have abandoned the old concept of Ram as the work-vehicle marque.

And a new Durango based on STLA Large.
Yup. It's possible the Durango's just being abandoned. Or not.
They're very secretive, as though competitors are changing plans based on what they're doing. My guess is that the only vehicle competitors are really studying is the Wrangler. The Pacifica replacement is so far off, it might as well not exist.

Given real inflation right now, and low interest rates, I think they'd be better off investing in product. Hoarding cash won't work.

Leaks have really stopped for the most part now that people are less disgruntled.
We could probably find more with more effort...

Today, yes, but for a while it was very popular that tobacco and asbestos and leaded fuel were all perfectly safe and those dang greens were trying to kill them for no real reason.
Because the people protesting lead, tobacco and asbestos were really secret commies. wish I was joking.
