The recommended OEM fluid is recommended for a good reason. The AWD is a special car with special requirements. Please maintain it by the book.

The Mopar 68049954AC for the Borg Warner 44-40 is the ONLY fluid that Chrysler recommends for this transfer case. If other companies market an equivalent fluid, the price may not be much different.
I have no opinion on using anything else as a substitute.
