I do not understand why they don't make a competent Trailhawk version of Wagoneer and GC. (GC they at least have one trailhawk, but I would love the same treatment in the 3 row).

The formula is not hard.

Make your off roaders. Wrangler, Gladiator, Recon

Then make your on roaders really nice vehicles that sell well and each have a damn Trailhawk version!!!!

Just do that. And you are way ahead of yourselves from the past 20+ years

They are at least on the path towards making their on roaders nice vehicles. But I don't understand the lack of priorities of not having an off road trim. Everyone else does

Because it's more off-road friendly with less overhang/cross-over angles (if there's a difference there, I'm not sure)

I think this image uses rock mode for the 5 seater.. lol it's suspension is higher off the ground. Or maybe they're actually like that? IDK.

Not a valid argument when they make Tahoe and Suburban Z71. Jeep could make a GC 3 row or Wagoneer Trailhawk

It's a valid argument about why they didn't invest in it at the time. Doesn't mean that can't change. /shrug
The good thing about the future is they have time. They just need the effort to go to the right places.

Agreed and that’s the crux of the DOJ argument. Jeep no longer feels compelled to produce a vehicle for anything more capable than handling a graded gravel road.

It felt like they were at least headed in the direction of trailhawks and then new leadership and it changed again. It feels like they are signaling they have made mistakes, so im willing to see if they fix things in next 2-5 years.

Recon needs to be good enough to hang in the "off road" side of Jeep. If it's not, then I will turn much sour.

Lately, FCA/Stellantis took the Maserati route and used the air suspension as their "off-road" package. While the air suspension does give more ground clearance, it comes at the price of less articulation and much, much worse ride.

Pre-Daimler, Pre-FCA, Jeep was able to offer the best handling SUV and the most capable off-road SUV without all the gimmicks and electronic wizardry (that now fails often).

They have lost their way.
