For the Body styles here are a few more/possible decodes:

Code: Description:
21 2 Door Sedan - Coupe
23 2 Door Hardtop
29 2 Door Sports Hardtop
43 4 Door Hardtop
45 6 Passenger Wagon
46 9 Passenger Wagon

When I get back to work next week I think I have the full list somewhere. (including all current 2008 6 digit body codes)

Well, if we can get the master list as wrapped up as possible, I guess I can set it up as a standard page with a "please post corrextions/additions" link... the idea is (as suggested and agreed-with) to reduce the number of pinned threads, which have gotten a bit out of hand. I've gotten flex manufacturing off so far -- and Challenger will move "soon."

very interesting thread that I found via Google search, but it looks like DaveAdmin's link is dead, and I found nothing in search. Is that listing on a static page outside the forum dead and gone?

No chance of a 4th gen viper i see?

This is a list of vehicle family/programs codes for DCX vehicles past, present and future. The list is growing, with 208 listings so far. There are several unidentified future codes... any input, additions, corrections, etc. always welcome.

According to the JA FSM I have, the JA Platform has a set of Sub Codes, which chrysler refers as the 'Vehicle Shell Line'. The first 2 characters in this code is the body code we all know: JA. the last 2 characters depends on what you have. the Codes are as Follows:

JACP= Chrysler Cirrus
JADH= Base Dodge Stratus
JADP= Dodge Stratus ES
JAPH= Plymouth Breeze (This is the code my car has.)

hope this helps!

A little late to the party on this one, but let me help on a couple that I see..

VA = 02-06 Sprinter
VB = 07-10 Sprinter

22 body code is for a CC Dakota ( 97-04 )
26 body code if for a RC Dakota ( 97-04 )
84 body code is for a QC Dakota ( 97-04 )

I also have a master list from Mopar of the breakdown of 99 ( Works for 94-03 BR/BE and 97-04 AN ) Ram/Dakota 4 digit body codes ( RC/CC/QC 1500-3500 WB 4x2 4x4 and long or short box ) but it would have to be scanned. I use it for helping to determine bed length on older rams when looking up moldings and bedsides...

Let me know if you want it and Ill figure out a way to get it to you.

At some point we need to get a VIN decoding system for all years set up...or at least, say, 1960-present.

I have access to a ton of stuff that would help with that. I have all of Govier's decoding books, and I can come up with most of the detailed info of the mid 80's to new stuff as well. Older parts catalogs are a wealth of information on this. Also the Mopar Performance catalog has some decoding info in it as well.

Just holler if you want help with that.. Id be willing.

That would be good. I want to see what I already have first.

Does anyone know the code for the '13 daytona?
It would come under the standard Charger code which is "LD". The Daytona is part of the R/T package so the extended code would be "LDDP48". The sales code for the Daytona package is "ACD".

... sometimes when I read this, I feel like I have ADD myself.

A huge thanks to oh2o for keeping this updated. It's a real help...

RA is the (shelved) crossover AFAIK.

RE and RF are the questions. One of them is, I strongly suspect, the FWD car (RE probably) while the other could be the Chrysler branded Journey replacement (RF).

One fun thing about the current plan is I can see a time when you have mostly Jeep, Chrysler, and Dodge factories rather than Jeep/Dodge and Dodge/Chrysler factories.
