Ours is still running fine. The cams are for specific years and I strongly suspect someone got cheap on materials.

Probably not a recall because (a) it only fails when the engine is being serviced and therefore does not cause crashes, and (b) it usually doesn't seem to fail at all when techs follow instructions exactly.

From CD

"Our other major gripe has to do with the badge pinned to the front fenders of Hemi-equipped models. We have no issue with the design itself, which depicts a ram head with a V-8 body and looks admittedly badass. Our gripe is with the name: Symbol of Protest. What exactly are 1500 V-8 drivers protesting? A less expensive and better-performing engine? Is it symbolically protesting the deep state's desire to 86 big engines? If it is, then that's especially confusing, considering the Hemi has the EPA's approval. "

Had Stellantis not dropped the Hemi abruptly and given Ram buyers a choice, there probably wouldn't have been such an outcry.
I blame Stellantis for not promoting the Hurricane aggressively as an improvement and even comparing it to Ford's Ecoboost as a step up. Ford has no problem selling the F-series with the turbo 6. Stellantis should've advertised the Hurricane's virtues repeatedly instead of ignoring how people would feel when the Hemi was dropped. They did next to nothing and suffered from their own stupidity. Had they launched the Hurricane effectively, the Hemi wouldn't be returning now, IMO. The teething problems with the Hurricane also didn't help, and while not prevalent, went pretty much unaddressed to quell fears.

I would like to point out the reason why one post was deleted.

Regulators are appointed based on acts of Congress, which are debated in public.
Their rules and regs were debated in public and posted for months and months for public comment.
Their decisions were based on research and if there was better research, everything was in the open so there was plenty of room for comment and criticism.

Propaganda terms meant to denigrate those people as a conspiracy hidden behind locked doors are not appropriate for any forum outside 8chan.
